Cognism seeks a Senior Accountant to be a key leader supporting the Accounting department. The Senior Accountant is responsible for a variety of month-end reconciliations, various tax/compliance filings, and assisting with the design and adoption of control processes and procedures across the accounting operations. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • This role requires a self-starter with problem solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Analyze accounting records, general ledger and subledgers for accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage submission of month-end packages from foreign subsidiaries.
  • Assist in indirect tax (VAT/Sales tax) compliance.
  • Assist in design and documentation of process around month-end close and other financial processes.
  • Assist with external audits.
  • Work across departments to problem solve and improve processes as it relates to the financial reporting system and financial processes.
  • Assist in rollout of NetSuite to subsidiaries.
  • Assist with preparation of ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • At least 5-years experience in accounting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
  • CPA/ACCA accreditation preferred but not required
