About The Position
At Contrast, we pride ourselves on being the best, which requires hiring the best. We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to be a part of an amazing 3- person People Ops team. The successful candidate will provide Human Resources (HR) support for the employee experience, from onboarding to exit, focusing on day-to-day People operations. This job requires a customer-first attitude and being a wizard at troubleshooting and solving people's problems. Most of our workforce is hybrid/remote, requiring a warm approach and solid organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Preference for this hybrid job is to have 60% on-site (in the Bay Area office) work on designated days (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the other 40% remote (typically Monday and Friday). Being willing to learn and grow is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans (including retirement plans)
  • Serve as a relationship manager with third-party service providers
  • Work with Finance and management to support Payroll administration both domestically and internationally
  • Ensure best-in-class onboarding procedures, which requires partnership with the Talent Acquisition and HRBP teams + IT/helpdesk support, and the hiring manager
  • Contribute to the support and implementation of policies, procedures, systems, and initiatives
  • Process and documentation driven to support the needs of the business
  • Be the go-to-person on Compliance and internal audits
  • Develop, enhance, and/or provide individual and group training on a variety of HR tools, policies and procedures, and other topics as required
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and stay current with changing labor laws and regulations that apply to companies with remote workers, consultants, and/or contractors
  • Assist employees with day-to-day HR questions and requirements
  • Provide reports on various People related statistics

Qualifications

  • A career-minded learner who loves to grow and develop your skills
  • Comfortable wearing different hats in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, PHR/SPHR designation, or advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • 2-3 years of hands-on systems experience with tools such as ADP & Fidelity. Knowledge of Carta, Pave, Lever, and Lattice is a plus
  • Proven ability to build solid, trusting, and credible relationships
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong analytical and software skills – must be well versed in MS Office (Word & PowerPoint), with strong Excel capabilities
  • Keen aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Self-motivated but know when to seek further guidance
  • Detail-oriented and laser-focused on supporting internal processes & systems
  • Strong organization and project management skills

What We Offer
Salary and Other Compensation
This position's standard base pay range is $110,000 - $140,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an equity package subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
