What you'll do

As a Legal Counsel at Futurae, you will play a critical role in our legal team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide legal support and guidance. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS contracts, as well as providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of legal issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts, including software licenses, service agreements, and data protection agreements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the legal implications of business decisions and provide legal guidance and support
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Support the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal advice and guidance on a variety of legal issues

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS business models and related legal issues
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent in English

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with international contracts and cross-border transactions
  • Experience with intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, and copyright law
  • Bar admission in the US or Europe
  • Additional languages such as German, French, or Italian are a plus
