About the role:
We have recently expanded Geomiq and created a new Quality hub in India, Bengaluru. This is to help our manufacturers in India with delivering products and ensuring our quality checks are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. We are currently looking for a proven and passionate individual who wants to develop their career in a Quality Control role within the technology and engineering industry.
Main responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of manufactured parts to ensure they meet predefined specifications and quality standards. This includes using various measurement and testing tools to check dimensions, functionality, and durability of the products.
- Verify that all products align with the technical drawings and specifications. This involves detailed comparisons against engineering drawings and ensuring that every component matches the required tolerances and parameters.
- Maintain accurate records of quality checks, results of inspections, and testing processes.
- Prepare detailed reports summarising findings and share with management and relevant departments. Ensuring all job cards are accurately completed and filled out.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to resolve issues, determine root causes, and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders involved in the orders to provide updates and collect feedback.
- Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in quality control practices.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum).
- Minimum 3 -5 years experience working as a Quality Control Specialist within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in manufacturing of metal and plastic components (CNC, Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal would be a bonus).
- Track record of excellent problem-solving and process improvement.
- Ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment where decisions must be made quickly.
- High attention to details and data-driven approach.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
