Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, will be responsible for the success of the complete project - from needs assessment to the delivery of the solution.
Sr Project Manager will manage the planning and execution of the project, communicate with and manage the customer, build the project team and develop the budget and timeline estimatesThey will be responsible for managing large, multi-phase projects and providing high-level technical audits, planning, recommendations, and project management with the focus being on achieving the customer's business case. This role will suit those with an entrepreneurial spirit, a focus on delivery and results and who enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Ensure Responsible for the scope of the project(s) is clearly identified, documented, and controlled and that the impact in any shift in scope is made clear in terms of effects on time, cost, and risk.
- Ensure that the diverse project components are planned, managed, and controlled from project initiation to project wrap-up within agreed time, cost, and quality boundaries. Customer and third-party commitments also need to be monitored and tracked in the same manner.
- Certify that Project issues and risks are identified, recorded, managed to resolution, and assessed in terms of cost/time impacts.
- Accountable for an effective project team is set up to achieve the project deliverables. Project goals to be set and performance reviews will need to be carried out for the project team members.
- Detailed project reporting & metrics are required to be produced ranging from regular internal status reports to customer progress reports. Clear and reliable tracking of effort expended for billing purposes will also need to be maintained.
- Responsible for ensuring that all phases of the project are clearly documented - particularly functional and technical specifications (including architecture) of the final solution.
- Work closely with the business development manager/account manager to ensure the customer and FINEOS’ interests are best served at all levels.
Education and/or Experience
- Formal education in IT, Project Management, or Insurance related disciplines.
- 10+ years related work experience for a software product company and/or IT responsibility for an insurance company.
- Proven experience delivering large, complex software product solutions, with the insurance industry.
- Experience working in a vendor environment, as the vendor or the client working with a vendor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional project management skills with experience of project management methodologies.
- A recognized customer centric focus with a commitment to satisfying Client and FINEOS Business Objectives.
- Strong decision-maker with proven leadership skills and an ability to come across as an authority figure when required.
- An understanding of existing & emerging technologies and an understanding of software development from initial requirements through to on site deployment and on-going maintenance and support.
- Strong analytical skills, logical and structured in approach.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proactive and energetic in the work situation, seeking to get things done and at deal with a variety of tasks.
- Ability to create a positive and innovative, engaging working environment.
Language Skills
- Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Travel Requirements
- Flexibility to travel on occasion to other States as well as to HQ in Dublin

Work Requirements
- Compliance with all relevant FINEOS Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
- Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
Salary range - $130 - $172
