Performs preventive maintenance and major repairs on instructional television/professional video and audio-visual equipment.
Schedules and documents bi-monthly routine maintenance on all assigned ITV systems equipment.
Designs, installs, and maintains video production equipment in MTS studio and editing facilities and ITV classrooms.
Assumes overall technical responsibility for assigned area.
Assists in developing standard test procedures and equipment to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate quality and performance of video or audio reception, production, and transmission.
Teaches and trains faculty and students in audio-visual principles, methods, techniques, and equipment operation.
Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and systems to effectively recommend changes, update, and redesign of facilities.
May program and install software and hardware for compressed video satellite communication system.
Identify funding sources, pre-assist in proposal materials, managing sponsored account activity, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Work Experience
Minimum Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Ability to interact with students, faculty and/or staff in a team environment.
