Job Summary

Phenom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our SaaS company. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Salesforce platform to support our business operations and drive efficiency. As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and provide expert guidance on Salesforce best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with deep Salesforce knowledge and a proven track record in managing Salesforce implementations within a SaaS environment.


Key Responsibilities


This is a varied business facing role, with the following responsibilities:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Salesforce-related activities, providing expert guidance and support to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce, including objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, process automation, and third-party integrations.
  • Optimize Salesforce configurations to align with business processes, improve user experience, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Lead data management activities, including data imports, data cleansing, and data quality maintenance.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to provide meaningful data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement custom functionality and enhancements using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within Salesforce, including user access controls, profiles, and permission sets.
  • Provide guidance and training to Salesforce users, promoting best practices and maximizing user adoption.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, assessing their potential impact and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Proactively identify areas for system improvement and automation, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and operations, to support their Salesforce-related needs.
  • Lead and participate in Salesforce-related projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce, keeping stakeholders informed about system capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies related to Salesforce administration.
  • Perform Data migration for a large amount of data using Data loader, Workbench.
  • Configure Objects, fields, relationships, users, workflows, schema, and the security model based on the design
  • Work with Dynamic Apex to access sObjects and Field information, visualforce components, and execute SOQL, SOSL, and DML queries.
  • Design reports and dashboards by leveraging techniques such as dynamic filtering, summary formulas, change calculations, row level formulas and conditional formatting.
  • Provide first-line support to our users in Marketing, Sales, Operations and Service, aiming for quick resolution of problems and issues
  • Perform system administration, testing, configuration, data load and data cleaning tasks
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ and FinancialForce are considered assets.
  • Able to Learn and adopt Salesforce integration like (Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Marketo, Outreach, ServiceRocket, Mavenlink, Dropbox, DocuSign, Netsuite and more
  • Ability to analyze business processes, design process improvements, and train business, users
  • Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies

  • The Sr. Salesforce Admin will contribute to the enhancement projects, implementations and upgrades by assisting requirement gathering for business procedures while providing best business practices knowledge, documentation, data analysis, solutions and presentation.
  • Document functional requirements, develop functional specs for program changes, design, configure & test new capabilities, enhancements that improve the business productivity, enhance value and end-user experience.
  • Creates & executes required test scenarios across various systems to ensure complete testing on all new & changed components and ensure the integration works as planned.
  • Provide operational support of existing Salesforce and other applications by troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Data transformation/migration to support ongoing initiatives. Perform Data migration for a large amount of data using Data loader, Workbench
  • Support data maintenance & cleansing on an ongoing basis
  • Flexibility to support urgent inbound requests from multiple regions & time zones.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
  • May conduct system demos and work with users providing training and testing support.
  • Other related tasks as assigned by the team lead or supervisor/manager.

Qualifications & Background


  • BA/BS Degree is required with 5+ years of experience in Salesforce.com CRM with at least one full cycle implementation and support.
  • Apex and Visualforce programming experience is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC project methodology (i.e.; Agile and Waterfall).
  • Should have application integration experience to build and test the end-to-end process.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce integration with CPQ, JIRA, ServiceHub to automate marketing, sales, SDR, AM tools & processes.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Prefer 8+ years of Salesforce analyst/development experience.
  • Administrator and Platform Developer certifications highly desired.
  • Salesforce CPQ experience.
  • Experience with advanced approvals.
  • Business knowledge of processes around all aspects of Sales, Marketing, SDR, Account Management functions in the SaaS industry/company.
  • Understanding of integration points (middleware) with other applications for harmonization of processes with our core SAP ERP systems for customer master management and sales order processing
  • Any other Salesforce certifications such as Developer 1 would be an asset
  • Knowledge of lightning component and/or Field Service Lightning, Salesforce Experience Cloud, CPQ, JIRA, Slack and Pardot an asset
  • Experience in Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Sequence Diagrams, and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD)
  • Understanding of XML, SQL, Data Modeling Language (DML), and Data Definition Language (DDL)
