About the Role
Thimble is seeking a skilled Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team. In this role, you will support our growing Broker Sales Team by creating compelling sales enablement materials, and contribute across other marketing channels including SEO, lifecycle marketing, and paid performance. This role demands a creative individual to produce engaging content that meets business objectives and enhances customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Craft persuasive and informative content to assist the broker team with sales enablement, including but not limited to – event branding, sales enablement materials (video, print, campaign creative), etc.
- Collaborate closely with the lifecycle marketing team to develop targeted content for our Broker and Consumer audiences that improves customer retention and engagement
- Write compelling ad copy and effective landing page content to support paid performance campaigns
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance content effectiveness
- Manage the internal approval process for compliance
What We’re Looking For
- A marketing content guru that does it all (research, write, edit, and big bonus if you also love design!), with preferred experience within the insurance, insurtech, or financial services industry
- Creative thinking and problem solver, with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends
- Proven experience as a writer, preferably in a marketing or B2B environment
- Experienced storyteller with exceptional writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization techniques
- Understanding of lifecycle marketing strategies and their application in content creation
- Familiarity with Asana/Atlassian, Microsoft Office, Looker, FIGMA
What You’ll Do in 30 Days
- Get a warm welcome, meet the rest of the company, and meet with key stakeholders (manager, marketing team, lifecycle, sales, product) to understand their goals and content needs
- Gain a thorough understanding of our Team, Trends, Targets, Products (insurance product offerings, policies, etc.) and how we sell coverage
- Gain an understanding of the Brand and Marketing materials, our distribution channels, target audiences and competitive landscape
- Jump in! Start to take over existing projects, identify quick wins and potential improvement opportunities
What You’ll Do in 60 Days
- Develop a content marketing strategy including target audiences, priorities, goals and program roadmap. Identify any content gaps or areas for improvement
- Conduct a competitive content analysis to understand industry trends and competitor strategies
- Set SMART content marketing goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound)
- Refine the content calendar template and begin mapping out content for the existing and next quarter
- Begin writing net new content for existing sales channels, and review and edit content from contract writers hired to support web SEO efforts
What You’ll Do in 90 Days
- Our Content Program is rolling; Meetings, content creation based on content calendar, implementation, and performance measurement
- Implement the content marketing strategy across chosen channels
- Track content performance metrics (website traffic, engagement, leads generated)
- Analyze results and adjust the strategy as needed
- Identify opportunities for content experimentation (new formats, channels)
- Report on progress to stakeholders and showcase early wins
- Start planning long-term content initiatives and campaigns
